Thread Life isn’t only a fashion marketplace; it’s also a community of purpose-driven individuals. Our community allows members to communicate with each other through messages, groups, forums, and comments. We want to make sure that everyone enjoys being part of this community and so we’ve put together this policy. By using and interacting on this site, you agree to our Community Policy.
First and foremost, have fun but be safe
We want you to have fun, but you still need to be wise. You don’t actually know who you’re interacting with on the web so don’t give out any information you don’t want a stranger having. This includes information like your address, phone number, email, financial details, workplace, etc.
Don’t post anything that is confidential or private. We’ll never ask you for any of that on a public forum. Check out our Privacy Policy for more on the information we collect on you. For good measure, have a read about how much we value your trust & safety.
Don’t post or click on any questionable media, files or links. If you believe posted content looks fishy, don’t click it, but let us know about it. Clicking 3rd party links could result in your computer getting a virus. We aren’t responsible for what happens on any 3rd party sites.
First and foremost (again), don’t be a jerk
We’re going to get into a lot of passionate conversations about topics we care deeply about. We might even disagree deeply with other people’s opinions, and that’s okay. But for discussions to thrive, please remember to criticize ideas, not people. We can still be friends and not agree.
So, please avoid:
- Name-calling
- Personal attacks
- Responding and reacting to a post’s tone instead of the actual content
We will remove any comments that we find to be hateful, inflammatory or harassing. Sexist, sexually explicit, unlawful, profane, untrue, deceitful, spammy (including advertising external businesses or services), racist, misogynist, homophobic, and broad, offensive generalizations about groups of people are not allowed. We will remove comments or discussions intentionally written to provoke.
If you don’t have anything nice to say about another user, don’t say it. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated. Remember, Thread Life users are real human beings.
Add value
Many discussions happen every day here at Thread Life. Before joining a discussion, look through what’s recently been said.
Don’t overthink it, but if you’re not sure your post adds to the conversation, perhaps let it go and try again later.
Keep it tidy
Please make sure you’re posting in the right place. This means:
- don’t post off-topic comments or discussions
- don’t cross-post the same thing multiple times
- review any specific posting guidelines for the group or forum you’re posting in.
Don’t copy and paste
If you didn’t write it or haven’t cited it, don’t post it.
English only
For now, we only support English-only discussions on Thread Life. At this time, we will remove, non-English comments and discussions. We hope to support more languages in the future.
If you see something, say something
If you see an issue, please contact us if possible or flag any comments for review. If you believe someone has violated our Community Policy, please report it to Thread Life.
Ignoring this policy
If your content gets moderated, there’s a reason for it. Please don’t re-post edited/removed content without contacting us first and whatever you do, please don’t spam the community.
